Cars and Coffee 2015 - Happy New Years!

Quite a turnout for the January 2015 CnC despite it being absolutely freezing out.  Clear weather, cold, but some great cars and great people!  I got to chat with a lot of new people including some members of the fellow Planet-9.com Porsche forum, and some nice Ferrari and Audi owners.  We specifically held about a dozen spots for P9 Cayman owners altho we gave a few to a few 911's as well.  A number of Porsches were there as usual and this time tons of 308,328s and other Ferrari and Lambo's too.  There was also a new BMW M4 and i8 hiding out as well.  See pics below!

Woke up very early before dawn in order to get there to help hold spots.  My buddy got there even before me.  Arriving even at 7:15 or so the right main lot was already nearly full... crazy!

Highway 1 and Skaggs Rd. Drive

Took a fun long drive up Highway 1 in Marin. Came across from the east bay on the Richmond-San Rafael bridge (driving through some strong fog) and started the drive on Lucas Valley Ranch Rd. This is the road that the old Lucasfilm property is on, Skywalker sound is still there. The big boulder denotes the beginning of the property all the way to the "ranch". After that it was through Nicasio-Ranch and reservoir, and over to Point Reyes Station and Highway 1 north. I ended up trying out Skaggs Rd heading back into Healdsburg... I don't know that I'd do it again... the first section is extremely narrow and rough road with pot holes and locals that don't like to move over for you. It opens up a bit better, but with the cold damp and questionable roads the speeds were kept in check. Still some pretty views. Next time I'll likely return down Highway 1 for more ocean views.
